313201 to go to the National Railway Museum.

It has been announced that 313201 will head to the National Railway Museum when it is withdrawn from service.

The unit is operated by GTR on Southern 'Coastway' services along the south coast. It was the first second generation EMU built and rolled off the production line as 313001.

It's spent most of its life on london suburban sevices but in 2010 was moved to Brighton where it has been since

In 2017 Beacon rail (Unit owner) repainted the unit back into its original BR blue & grey with all grey doors to meet with modern day regulations.
